|Better Elections in San Francisco|
These charts focus on the five districts where there were at least three runoff elections between 2000 and 2010. In each case, the winner received more votes under RCV runoffs than with December runoffs. Since the implementation of ranked choice voting for the Board of Supervisors in 2004, most RCV winners received more votes in the final round than previous winners had earned in the old runoff system.
